Мета свята - підвищити обізнаність жінок про проблему раку грудей і вивільнити жінок від стандартів у одязі. Він відзначається з 2011 року, і традиційно жінки святкують його, викладаючи в соціальні мережі фотографії без бюстгальтерів.
